Pros

We have a positive values based culture with open communication and collaboration. Our pursuit of excellence encourages new ideas, innovation, and process improvement. We are encouraged and there are systems in place to support staff driven initiatives and social responsibility. Our healthcare benefits are incredible, the investment in learning and training is superior, our home office headquarters in Natick is state of art , the people are genuinely good hearted people, and our pursuit of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging is a company priority.

Cons

We have two Natick campus', it would be nice to have everyone in Natick under one roof. Not really anything we can do here, but that would be nice. On the bright side, we have access to both campus' and MathWorks offers free bicycles during the warmer months to take a quick stroll in between campus'.

Pros

Allows Engineers to innovate and think out of the box. No stringent deadlines. Takes everyone's input for planning. Realistic estimates. Emphasizes Quality over Quantity.

Cons

Not being a very competitive deadline based environment, you need to compete with yourself and set your own challenging goals without falling into the comfort zone quagmire.

Pros

Group of very smart people to work with and people are encouraged to speak out if they see something that should be fixed The secondary benefits are great and the drive to make sure people volunteer their time is fantastic. All kinds of great training are provided in house. Process improvements are seen as important

Cons

It takes a long time to have people value your opinion as you are still seen as new after 2 years. There is no real career growth, the base salary is low and the raises are close to inflation correction. There is no real support for obtaining certifications after training. Because people have been here for years, the development of a "MathWorks" way sometimes blocks real change/improvements Management in some areas of the company are not helping their teams grow and improve in the right way. Leadership lives mostly at the top layers
