DO NOT WORK FOR THEM

Pros

Discounts Occasionally can work on own car I atleast have a cool rtm, but i feel bad for those who dont

Cons

Where to start.... this company is one big human rights violation. We work very hard for peanuts, all while being recorded and watched 24/7 by the cameras (they have more than fort knox). Work long days and sometimes get denied a lunch break. They want me to work 6 days a week, but wont shell out the overtime hours. Managers disrespect you constantly, and complain about everything. We spend all day doing un necessary work to peoples cars because the managers want to hit their quota. If its slow then they jump dowm your throat about cleaning, while they sit in the air conditioned office on their phones. The commission system is a joke because a) if an alignment gets discounted it comes out of your pay, and b) you will get huge 50 lb tires to do, and only make 50 cents on it. They will hire ANYONE because they are so short handed. Then when qualified people join this company, we leave not too long after due to broken promises and lack of pay compared to the headache we receive . If this company unionized, it would go under in a month.

Low Pay & Terrible Benefits

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Strong financial position and essentially recession proof. The worker bees are typically great people. Management is mostly great people with a few jerks and poor leaders in the high ranks.

Cons

In short, this company could care less about its employees. Pay is extremally low and they do not hold to their bonus promises. No annual raises or even annual performance reviews. You really have to be pushy about promotions and that is the only way you will get a raise. Their benefits and vacation are essentially non-existent. The corporate office is miserable and in a terrible location. No remote working options. WiFi is terrible in the corporate office and everything is locked down. They do not invest in their employees in any way at all. HR basically does not exist. Too focused on store growth and has become completely disorganized internally. Additionally, this company does not hold people accountable and has no standards. You could essentially do anything here and never get fired in the corporate office as long as you stay on the good side of management. Your productivity will not be rewarded.

Former Manager

Pros

Bonus, when you actually get one. Which is pretty much non existent. One day off during the week to prepare for the nightmare on Thursday.

Cons

They are the worst. The Thursday Night Big Brother show marathon. Selling things that you don't need rather than the things you actually do need. Struts, Shocks, power steering flushes, and brake flushes. That's the only thing that gets recognized. You can bust your but on everything but if those items aren't on your list, your screwed. The constant dm calls about numbers and pushing you to sell sell sell. You aren't allowed to think on your own. I don't need someone telling me how to do my job I've been doing for 10 years without a problem from my dm. Let's not reinvent the wheel. I will not lie to get sales, IT'S WRONG!!. If you work for these people, check how much integrity you have. Service managers and sales people get paid crap as do the techs, but than again most of the techs are inexperienced and haven't a clue.
