Pros
It is a fully remote company
Cons
1. U.S. Federal Holidays aren’t guaranteed PTO. Yep, you read that right. And yes, you might actually get called out for not responding during something like Thanksgiving. That really happens. 2. Turnover is wild. In the three years I’ve been here, I’ve seen over 20 people leave—out of a ~50-person company. 3. Unlimited PTO… tracked in a public Google Sheet. Everyone can see how many days you’ve taken off, and there’s even a column tallying it. It’s not uncommon for people to take fewer than 5 days off in a year—and that includes!!! federal holidays. 4. People disappear without explanation. Entire teams have been gutted overnight, with zero heads-up or reasoning. Just gone. 5. No Slack allowed. The CEO thinks it encourages “slacking,” so we’re stuck using a truly awful work chat tool instead. Instead of telling people to upload positive reviews the company should focus on actually creating an environment where people would voluntarily leave positive reviews
