      Pros

      Employee Stock Ownership Program and Great Bonuses whenever the company is profitable. Which is a rare occasion because McCarthy always takes on jobs that are a failure from the beginning. My last bonus was .005% of my current salary.

      Cons

      McCarthy will work you to death. Job-site Management expects you to work from 6am to 6pm Monday thru Saturday and even Sunday if the project schedule demands it.

      Pros

      - Employee owned company - Great leadership at the top - Involvement in many aspects of the construction industry - Can advance at a rapid pace - Multiple opportunities for career path

      Cons

      - 90% Work, 10% Life balance - Constant relocation between jobs - Information is learned not given (read non-preventative atmosphere) - Job site management works in CYA mode and is not afraid to use anyone as a scapegoat - Field employees are considered numbers not names and are treated as such

      Pros

      The ESOP is great. I learned things. Training is based on your title, not on what you do.

      Cons

      Spent 5 years as a Project Engineer, not even a senior Project Engineer. Was hired away by another top 10 GC company, moved right to Project Manager. instantly made 45% more than my McCarthy Salary. Claim to be female friendly, but only if you were in the cute and blonde category.... and under 30.
