Pros

As my first position within the shipbuilding industry, my efforts were valued and welcomed as an invaluable contribution to the company’s success. From the start, the whole team truly valued my years of experience from a long and successful military career and were open to new thoughts and ideas.

Cons

In general, shipbuilding is a highly competitive industry, particularly for a small business. The role was highly demanding and required, at times, a large investment of time to get things done right. Not necessarily a bad thing as I was provided all the decision making latitude to produce results, which is highly rewarding.
