Manufacturing sucks eggs. They claim to follow world class manufacturing practices but conveniently ignore the part about running your factory 24/7. Nothing against Micron specifically, more about the type of work you can expect if you are close to the fab. By working here for an extended period, you are also highly specializing into a historically volatile field. Risky, but times are good with uncle Sam's dollars paying out big time.
