Pros

They changed their name from Bluewolf since Bluewolf got such a bad reputation among their clients that they couldn't function anymore... so that's a plus... new branding. It's a job... that pays... not well in comparison to other agencies but it pays.

Cons

They will tell you that "the only people who comment on glassdoor are the ones that didn't like the company or didn't do well". That's not the case here, in fact I was probably a favorite among my Manager and colleagues and did very well in my time there. However, I feel obligated to post since the previous posts are so obviously crafted by upper management and fake. It's actually taken me a couple of edits to get this post up and running on the site again since Mondo keeps flagging it to get it taken down. The big con from the start: The internal recruiter will promise you the world. He will tell you that you will make up the majority of your compensation in commission. FALSE As a sales person you will make $40k base and 4% commission. Lower than the standard agency commission of 7%. This is even less for recruiters. He will tell you that turnover is low and that our senior employee has been here for 3 years. FALSE. Turnover is HIGH especially among MANAGEMENT which you know is a baaaaad thing. In the last 12 months one office probably turned over 20+ employees and two managers. This is just an agency guys. They will try and entice you with booze and tell you that they have fun. It's at your own expense. You will be expected to put in 12 hour days, forget holidays; if you aren't working than you better be watching your back, and personal life/family? Mondo needs to be your personal life. They will tell you this to your face once you are working for them. Management is highly discriminatory, they berate you every day with obscene and offensive language. I've seen them comment on coworkers clothing, or attitudes, or hair styles...(even when they looked or acted fine). The idea here it to break your spirit... they want even their top performers to feel like they are worthless so that they don't look for other jobs. Last but not least, they are not a moral company. They lie, cheat, and even call fake deals. The amount of times they made offers to candidates to "keep them off the market" when the offer didn't really exist...sigh.. this happened so often that they even have a name for it, "The [Insert Name] Special" named after a higher up who made it common place. These people quit their jobs because they're told they have one lined up... well it's fake. They have a fascist/authoritarian management style where you can expect the best reqs to be taken by the person that is trusted with the responsibility to pass them out. So if you're a new recruiter... forget about making money... he's a shark. Not to mention, higher management think they are better than the world. They will visit, come and sit in a back room and actively try not to manage at all. If you are looking for a short term agency gig... go for it. If you are looking for a career path, this is not a place to do it. Mondo is a joke to most other agencies. If you can stay away from staffing as a whole... that's your best choice. As some advice to anyone who currently works at Mondo or still accepts an offer here... Always respond to management emails with "AWESOME" or "EPIC" or "SLAUGHTER IT" or "KILLING IT" or "SHAKE AND BAKE"... for some astounding reason, this works; they will assume you are working... and leave you alone as they bully another employee.

Pros

- $50 cell phone reimbursement (should pay all for the amount of time you will spend on it for work) -President's club for top performers-bring you on an all inclusive trip if you hit certain quotas (a lot of fun, but better not have a deal fall through during this trip because you will be embarrassed in front of entire management). - Room for growth (in exchange for your personal life) - The team-the one thing I can honestly say that I liked about Mondo was the amazing Account Managers and Recruiters working there. They work hard and truly care about their clients and candidates.

Cons

The day you sign your offer letter, you sign your life over to Mondo. If you want 0 work life balance, 12+ hour work days and weekends, declined vacation days by upper management, and to be verbally abused daily then this is the place for you! In 2 years, I had gone from a Technical Recruiter to the Recruiting Manager of the Philadelphia office at Mondo. In that time, the amount of verbal and mental abuse that I took and saw my coworkers take from upper management was DISGUSTING. In my time at this company, I have had management call me and my team members horrible names, talk badly about my family, reach out to my family personally if I wasn’t answering, and curse at me daily. The saddest part was that the strong person I had always been had disappeared all for a paycheck. After working abnormal work days, answering emails at 4:30am up until 10:30pm, being interrupted during family occasions, leaving the dinner table countless times to answer calls, and being humiliated daily, I finally realized that my dignity was no longer for sale. The micromanaging in this office is insane. I found myself forgetting I was a grown adult and having to explain to my Manager that I was going to the bathroom when asking why I took so long to respond to a gchat. If you are hungry during lunch, forget about it. You are not able to take a lunch break without getting texts from management asking where you are. I hope you never plan on getting sick because if you do, you will be asked for a doctor’s note or told to “suck it up” by upper management. Does the unlimited PTO sound too good to be true? That’s because it is. Don’t forget that it is under the managers discretion. If the manager doesn’t think you deserve a vacation or your reasoning isn’t good enough it is declined. If you are thinking about going to HR about any harassment in the work place forget about that as well. When having my exit interview, I let HR know not only about how I was treated, but how the existing team was still being treated and NOTHING was done (ATTENTION HR!!!-please DO NOT comment that Managers here strive to be upfront with their expectations and hold employee accountable). Last, I checked cursing at your employees, calling them names, and verbally harrasing them is not holding people accountable. It is abuse. Can you imagine? Being verbally abused daily and telling HR yet the people that inflicted and are still inflicting this in the work place are still employed and running the company? In conclusion, the only positive I can say in regard to working at Mondo was that you can’t put a price on your happiness. Don’t ever be afraid to leave a hostile work environment. If you are good at what you do, you can make money wherever you go in a respectable workplace all while being treated like an actual human being. If you are still considering this company please re-think your decision. Leaving was the best one I've ever made! If you still don't believe me, please feel free to reach out to any previous employees on LinkedIn. I'm sure they will tell you the same!

DO NOT WORK HERE

Pros

Young group of people who are early on in their careers. Other than that I couldn't say anything positive about this company.

Cons

Never in my life have I have felt more devalued, unappreciated, and abused in my entire life. This company is toxic. Expect a hostile micro-managed environment, constantly checking over your shoulder to see if someone is watching you. There is no trust between management and their employees and they view everyone as disposable at any time. This company believes that threatening, intimidating, and bullying their employees is an effective means of motivation. There is absolutely no work-life balance, expectations are completely unrealistic to maintain, the commission structure is a scam, management has no idea what they are doing...the list goes on and on. This company has the highest turnover rate you will ever see in your life. No can last more than a year, and most people quit in the first 2 weeks. I can promise you that all of the "positive reviews" on here are all fake, in fact they would bribe and threaten us to write positive reviews to boost their ratings. DO NOT WORK HERE - don't say I didn't warn you....

We work hard to make sure our workplaces are welcoming, fun and fair places to work. Managers here at Mondo strive to be upfront with their expectations and hold employees accountable to ensure they are successful from both a financial and a career development standpoint while also being supportive and accessible. This doesn't sound like your experience, so please, we'd love to have an honest exit interview to help us understand your experience in context. Please reach out to me, the Director of HR Nicole Gulotta, at 646.517.5606 or nicole.gulotta@mondo.com. I'd love to connect with you to discuss what Mondo could do better to make our workplaces healthy and fair for all employees!
