Unfortunately there are too many fiefdoms at NetApp, especially in the manageability groups. NetApp has always had too many tools in the management tool box (which customers complain about) yet they would and could not join them together due to the ego's of those in charge, even though they all work for NetApp and should just be working to help make NetApp a better company.

OCI quality management process is slow, and the tools used are outdated. Too much time is spent educating the manager as she lacks technical skills and always relies on someone to cover her up and do the work. Promotions these days are rare, and when a promotion happens, they are given to those that do not really deserve it. They are normally the people that kiss up to management. Culture has deteriorated greatly, and those that are able to probably already left. Those that are remaining are there only for certain reasons. Such an unprofessional work environment OCI has transformed into.
