Pros

Good culture among coworkers. Supportive and respectful.

Cons

Outdated tools, products behind the market. Upper management seems to chase trends and then abandon projects a lot.

Work life balance

Pros

Working at NetApp gave me excellent work life balance. There is more emphasis put on delivering quality, rather than rushing things. My manager gave me a lot of trust and room to lock in on delivering shareholder value.

Cons

Quite a lot of red tape that you have to navigate. Measurement of success by upper management is quite rigid, people can have different qualities and still contribute as much to the general outcome.

Pros

Great people Great benefits Currently if you live 25 miles or more from an office you just have to go in once a quarter

Cons

NetApp stopped promoting from within, especially upper management positions. This has been killing the culture for years now. New people, like at a VP level, will come in and fire 20+ year employees that are driving critical work and then turn around and promote managers to directors to get their allegiance. Not a company that you're likely to work at for more than 10 years because when layoffs happen they target the senior people.
