Pros

If you are lazy and want to skate by with 0 accountability, this is the place for you. If you are well liked by mgmt., you have it made here. No need to even show up most of the time; the other employees can do their job and yours for little pay. The coffee machine was nice. The benefits were reasonably priced. Work life balance was not terrible. Rarely did we have to come in more than our regularly scheduled 40 hrs.

Cons

This place plays favorites for sure and is not shy about it. Not everyone is held to the same standards which change daily dependent upon on who complains that day. Well liked employees receive special treatment and are promoted easily regardless of work performance or qualification and see little to no ramification for frequent attendance issues or poor performance. The amount of work expected of you for the little pay is criminal. A bonus is offered every 6 months and any reason is found to not give you the full amount. This company is wound extremely tight. Management is a joke. The downstairs manager pretends he is concerned to pump you for information to use against you or someone else later, very 2 faced. The upstairs manager wants to be your buddy and not your parent. He is also extremely inappropriate with women. Of the 2 owners, 1 rarely shows up and the other had his arm up to his elbow in the back side of his pants during a company wide meeting, yes you read that. Women are bullied and sexually harassed. There is little room to move up as it is a small company, not many spots open up since they tend to not fire terrible employees who have grown comfortable in their position doing little to no work. The culture is a nightmare for normal people. Some employees wear gym shorts and t shirts which is highly unprofessional. Managers and coworkers discuss inappropriate and sometimes illegal things during business meetings while customers' needs are being ignored since they are in a "meeting". Diversity is almost non existent, young males dominate this place.

Solid Environment / Empty Promises

Pros

Work environment was solid. Laid back but driven when needed. You'll really enjoy most of the people you work with. Schedules are flexible and employees were trusted.

Cons

There are empty promises that give employees false hope. Went in thinking you would be able to grow your career only to find out you would actually be set back.

It is always unfortunate when a company isn't a good fit for the employee, I hope that you voiced your concerns about moving up in the company to your supervisor, as they are great at giving realistic time lines for career growth, which we understand may not be at the same pace as what the employee wants, but Nexigen strides to make sure that every employee is a good match for the position they are in, which is why we have many, many employees who move up the ladder and Nexigen has paid training opportunities to prepare employees for different positions. Nexigen has a career growth path, it is not for everyone, but no matter what position an employee is in, we want to provide support and a team environment for all.
