Pros

Stable job, benefits aren't too bad.

Cons

Very bad management. Job gets repetitive and boring very fast. No acknowledgement or motivation whatsoever from management. No opportunities for growth, this job is only good for people who want a stable job doing the same thing everyday. This is not the place for someone who is young and ambitious. Departments like inside sales/customer service have a high turnover rate, mostly filled with older people who have been working there for 20+ years.

Pros

Company is profitable. They're not looking to let go of people, unless you had tenure and they don't think you deserved it. If that's the case, then see ya later.

Cons

Status Quo was accepted 20 years ago and has not changed. Mediocre facility, lagging IT infrastructure, sales volume matters more than employee's well-being. Emerson part II with a bit more financial support from corporate and a few less employee perks. Definitely a company that will stick around, but not a place you'd want to stick around for more than a few years to gain that "experience" that everyone is looking for. No vacation for the first 52 weeks as a full time employee. Overall low morale, weak culture. Mass retirement on the rise. Knowledge vaults are all walking out the door and leaving nothing in their wake.

Pros

2 days off for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years

I would advise everyone to take the previous reviews into consideration before accepting a job at this company. One thing I regret I didn't do. The culture at this company is so bad....from the coporate office all the way to the Southaven, MS location. The coroporate office treats the employees as if they are nothing. Managment care more about having the appropiate water bottle on the floor than shipping the correct product to customers. There is so much favoritism in this place until it's unreal. There is no room for advancement unless you are well liked or friends with management. People thats been with the company for many years makes the same as a new person coming through the door. There is no such thing as pay grades because a fork lift driver and a checker makes the same pay. Departments do not work together. You are made to feel you are coming to a prison than work. Not a fun place to work at all. Vacation policy is so outdated. two weeks after a year and 3 weeks at the 6th year. No sick/pto days. Dont even think about confidentiality...it doesnt exist. No consistency. ...not even with pay raises. No incentives.This place is a revolving door. Managment need real training on how to treat and talk to people and they lack people and social skills. I'm glad I have 1 week left here.
