Pros

- Ample paid time off - Some ok benefits, but medical/dental is pricey compared to other companies - Nice people at heart, just very bad at leading and managing teams

Cons

- Very low morale within the Marketing team specifically, due to extremely poor leadership - Poor leadership all-around; management styles are totally ineffective - Communication is almost non-existent, causing all sorts of problems - Very unorganized, with little planning or rationale behind decision making - Top-down culture, where non-management-level employees have zero say around issues that directly affect them - There is a major culture of fear when it comes to dealing with President Aoun, who is heavily involved in design projects and has a tremendously difficult personality - Projects never get completed, because upper management is constantly changing their minds and has no planning strategy - Micromanagement of creative, with a fear-based approval process for creative that leads to miscommunication and double or tripe the work - If President Aoun or Senior Leadership request an unreasonable and arbitrary deadline for something, you'll be asked to work late hours indefinitely until the project is completed (which based on the above points, could be never) - Located in an unappealing part of Boston

Pros

Decent pay, great campus, T accessible.

Cons

Shark-like environment. You use one hand to work and the other covering your butt. They’re reactive. They’re trying to figure out how to copy the competition instead of thinking for themselves. They’re very jealous of institutions like General Assembly where people can learn skills without the enormous debt. Campus higher-ups don’t take sexual assault seriousness until the news covers one story and uncovers multiple cases. Has a cool-kid vibe. You’re either with the cool kids are you’re trash. No processes in place. Everyone’s a yes person.

Pros

Some of the people are dedicated and wonderful people

Cons

Where to start...it is a good old boys club. The administration needs to wake up and realize why so many women are leaving in droves. Few advancement opportunities are reserved for less educated and less qualified men. Most systems and programs are lacking. Funding reserved for aesthetics rather than infrastructure or substance. Lacking infrastructure and support. Top heavy. No clear strategic plan to address the problems. An incredibly frustrating place to work!
