Pros

There is no where else to go but up from here!

Cons

I voluntarily left in early 2017 after being with the company for over 10 years. The people (two people) in senior management have left four "great" reviews recently and that could not be farther from the truth. Senior management is so condescending and arrogant it will make you physically sick. Never seen a small group of people act or think this way. Get rid of four key people and within three years there might be a decent company to work for. I normally do not do any type of reviews of any sort; however, I feel I must inform anyone willing to do the research that this is not the place to be at all until a serious change of senior management takes place. It is hard to describe other than it is bad, and I mean really bad. Every month the employees, at least the ones in the corporate office, think things can't get any worse and we are wrong every single month.

Pros

Ocassionally get free beef jerk. A few hard working people left.

Cons

Management is a total joke. No support and the expectation is that we work 70 hours a week while the exec group is hardly in the office. lots of turnover. New people leave running within 6 months and everyone else has been beaten down so badly that they believe they can't go anywhere else.

Oberto Snacks Response

I am the new CEO for Oberto Brands, and I wanted to address some of the recent feedback on glass door. There are many constituents that use glass door as a valuable resource, and I am most concerned about current and future Oberto associates. Oberto has the potential to be a great company. Our brand will be 100 years old in 2018, and we compete in one of the fastest growing categories in the food space. People are realizing the health benefits of beef jerky given that each serving has 12 grams of protein with virtually no fat and low levels of carbohydrate. For a 1 ounce serving of our All Natural Oberto Beef Jerky, you can get 24% of your recommended daily value of protein with only 80 calories! In addition, Seattle is a wonderful place to live with a temperate climate, vibrant economy, beautiful geography and very nice people. Our company is relatively small so we strive to be fast and nimble with limited approval layers. In terms of the future at Oberto, we will develop a sound and sustainable business strategy that will propel this business to long-term success. However, the most important factor in our success will be dependent on our team. A highly motivated and engaged work force will be the underpinning of the future of Oberto. Last year was a difficult year for Oberto with significant turnover at all levels and several major business issues. My first priorities as CEO are to build a strong executive team that plans to be at Oberto for the long haul and to create a positive, growth oriented environment for everyone at the company. Every day we come to our work, and we make an investment in time and energy. This investment should be rewarded financially, emotionally and professionally. Our goal will be for Oberto to provide this balance of rewards. The environment we want to create is to encourage both growth for the business and growth for the individual, with new challenges and opportunities over time. While some days will be harder than others, we want Oberto to be a place that people look forward to coming to in the morning and then the next day. I also know that working together against a sound strategy we can achieve a financially rewarding situation, especially given our significant top line growth potential. People want to be treated with respect, and I 100% agree with that! As I have come to understand, this may not have always been the case here. That needs to change. All the above is easy for me to say; however, the results will be in the actions. Some of the changes we need to make will take longer than others, but my commitment is to make Oberto a great place to work. I encourage people to keep posting on glass door so we know what improvements we need to make. We will get there.

Pros

well its not for the money that is for sure. people there are nice

Cons

Management seems to run around in circles one does not know what the other is doing especially the production manager. I do not know where they got this person from but they need someone else.
