The company is overloaded with way too many “customer-care” type people that contribute little but hound those actually doing work for continual status updates. These roles are duplicated across various divisions which makes it even worse. Dealing with these people is by far the most miserable part of the job for me. I’m pretty sure bonuses and raises would still be plentiful if these people weren’t consuming so much payroll.
