The growth potential at OC comes at the cost of work life balance. Plant life at OC was constant jumping from one crisis to the next with plants on the verge of shutting down due to poor management of raw material supply chain, lack of warehouse space, critical equipment breaking across the facility, and the list goes on. This atmosphere can quickly lead to burnout for both hourly and salary employees. Those who have been with the company a long time all seem to have endless stories of having to spend insane amounts of time in facilities across all divisions almost like a right of passage to higher up positions. OC also often awards jobs to the lowest bidder in order to save a penny today to pay a dollar tomorrow.
