Pros

Good Benefits, good culture, ERG/BRG for meaningful connections. Had a good cohesive team for the most part.

Cons

CEO Mark Boulding seems to lie to us all the time, I get a disingenous vibe from him. it's not what you say it's how you say it; layoffs were done very poorly - they told people in May 2023 not to come in the next day via email at 7pm, and was incredibly disrespectful and inconsiderate. People drove into work to find they could not swipe into the gate. We worked on the Hopewell site and we could have made the company money as a CDMO, but no one seemed to care. After that we had very little direction on what we were supposed to be doing. Projects were abruptly cancelled, but then we were asked to start testing again. Terrible management. Company was organized from the bottom up instead of the top down, which meant that teams could function how they desired instead of uniting under one system. It became detrimental because there was no checks and balances. I was disappointed to learn that my manager did not forward my concerns to his manager regarding another employee. I reported an employee's actions to him and he did not pass my concerns along as promised.

Biggest Mistake of My Career

Pros

1. I learned a lesson to trust my judgment and run when my gut tells me. 2. Lots of free food if you want to get fat.

Cons

Surrounded by some of the rudest people I've ever had to deal with. Bad moral. I constantly heard how "nice" everyone working at PTC is. This phrase was repeated as if it were rehearsed and they were trying to convince you of it. Problems that keep workers from doing their jobs effectively are ignored, and I've witnessed employees who tried to address problems, get reprimanded for it...as if you are not even allowed to talk about it. Meanwhile, a seemingly constant flow of fattening food is made available to you as if it were supposed to make up for everything, and shut you up. I agree with the previous reviewer. It was like a cult. From the moment I walked through the door, there were so many red flags that I knew I would just be passing through, and the sooner the better.

Pros

The shopping center in the back of the building is really nice. It provides a good education in hard knocks.

Cons

PTC posts contract positions. They'll negotiate good salaries. They list 6 months or longer to LURE YOU in but as soon as you finish a project( a month or two) they'll look for a reason to get rid of you. NJ is an "At Will" state meaning an employer can terminate you for any reason and PTC takes full advantage of this law or will lie to accomplish their goals. It is a Cult. Its not family orientated and the people there are not nice. They will do anything to keep their jobs in a badly run company.
