Puratos Corp: wake-up call needed

Pros

If excellent collegiality and interaction with supervisors and (lower) management are of key importance to you, Puratos Corp might be a good fit. Spirit of a small organization, where everyone helps each other.

Cons

Upper management needs a wake-up call. Very egocentric team and very top-down oriented. Close to no interaction with people on the floor and if they do, a red carpet attitude comes with it. Compensation package is outdated. Don't expect increases, in best case there will be a cost of living increase match, but don't even take that for granted. Bad management decisions have a direct impact on employees: pay and job security. Lot of good people have been let go. Not the best place to work, if you're not part of upper management that mainly consists of European expats with short term missions.

Pros

Coworkers are the only reason most people stay and put up with the abuse. There was a time when Puratos cared about their employees (or at least they were much better at faking it).

Cons

The management team does not care about employees or morale. They only care about the bottom line and making sure they get their bonuses. Long term employees are not valued at all.

Poor Company to Work For

Business Outlook

Pros

Company has a good reputation with their customers who pay a premium for quality products. They are an overall world leader but still very small in the USA.

Cons

No advancement opportunities unless you're from another Puratos subsidiary. Poor work/life balance - expected to work long hours because there's not enough admin staff, a lot of really good employees have left in the past couple of years due to performance mgt. system and high turnover in all areas continues to be a problem
