Pros

- Good Comprehensive Benefits Packages for Team Members & Their Families - Three Weeks Vacation First Year - Sales Commissions Can Be Very Lucrative for Few Who Make It - Strength of Brand and Network in Canada. Excellent Canadian Brand Awareness. - Have Created Good MouseTrap for Cross Border Solutions, but Others Have Improved It - Core of Brilliant, Talented Employees Keep Organization Moving, Productive, Enjoyable, and Fun - Excellent Client Relationship Representatives & District Operations Support Teams Tremendously Support Customers & Representatives - Success Breeds Freedom

Cons

- Excessively High Sales Turnover Across Entire Organization (87.5% of reps in my District replaced in 12-18 month period, 60% Sales Management Turnover Within 9 months) - About 75% of Members of Executive Leadership Team Have Resigned or Left in Last 6-18 Months - Sales Incentive Plan Pro-Rates Sales Commissions Based on Maternity Leave, Medical Leave, & Leaves of Absence, Needs to Be Legally Challenged. - Consistent Company LayOffs over the Last Two Years in Q4 - Sales Management Realignment Every 6-9 Months Minimum That Impacts Entire Organization - New Product Focus every 9-12 Months for New Potential Revenue Streams. Only One Has Really Succeeded - IT Solutions for Customers are all Customized, Excessively Costly, & Impact Sales Representative's Sales Commissions All at Commencement of Shipping - No Regional Consideration Considered for Base Salaries Based On Cost of Living - Account On Boarding Process is Complicated, Laborious, and Time Consuming. Sales Professional Doubles As Project Manager When OnBoarding Accounts, But This Process Has Improved - Painfully Slow and Subjective Sales Reimbursement Process is Brutal. Can Take Three to Six Weeks for Reimbursement - Pays Outside Consultant Handsomely Instead of Using Existing, Talented, Capably, & Loyal Employees Capable of Doing Better Work More Quickly - Work/Life Balance can be Fleeting & Challenging - 7 CEOs of Parent Canadian Company in 10 Plus Years Does Not Really Excude Confidence or Consistency

Pros

The people are great, however they are all over worked and can't handle their work load. Email remain unresponsive, support is lacking, and turnover is high. Can't keep track of who is responsible, and no one is accountable.

Cons

President remains in the stone ages, tools and resources are lacking, no accountability, poor communication, no budget, demoting people to fill positions, losing people and not replacing positions.

Purolator Response

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Purolator International has grown significantly over the past fifteen years which has resulted in a corresponding increase in our employee base as well as many opportunities for promotions. With few exceptions, all jobs are posted internally prior to recruiting externally and we have had a high rate of success filling newly created management positions with internal candidates. As a point of clarification, Purolator International has many great benefits, however, a clothing allowance has never been offered at any level.
