Pros

Large community/team feeling involved with working for RISE.

Cons

Religious beliefs can be a little much as there is a daily email sent out along with bible verses.

Pros

The local team I work with is quite literally the best in the company, dutiful and honest people. Understanding of fluid schedule changes, get fed for free a couple times a month. My bosses are great, unfortunately they just don't have a lot of power to change things.

Cons

Corporate will never budge on pay rate "precedents" but they don't mind you going above and beyond your job description to keep their property afloat while they collect millions per month. In fact, that seems to be the expectation. You'll be told how invaluable you are, how integral to the team you are, you'll be given a free lunch and a high five, but if you ask for a raise you'll be quietly ignored. And don't forget to do your safety video so all the full timers get their incentive bonuses that you don't receive. All the while you'll get blasted by 5-10 corporate emails a week preaching corporatese neo-christian theology at you, with the occasional politically charged email telling you who God wants you to vote for. I live at the property I work on, 100% of my paycheck goes back into the pocket of RISE, while I take out student loans to cover the rest of my rent. The status quo here is to pay engineers and pilots minimum wage, and convince them they are being done a favor, when in reality it's indentured servitude.

Pros

RISE employees and HR have been extremely kind during my time here. Having been here for a year, I have met my Regional and a few other corporate entities that have been quite a help to this property.

Cons

Removed commission pay per lease after 9 months of employment; no motivation or incentive to lease as they added a bonus per 30-60 leases for a property that needs far too much work to be pre-leased to the percentage they are fighting for. Work orders get done for residents much faster than for employees who also reside here. (Nine months no A/C, raccoons living in ceiling for a year) "Corporate" entities seem to have no idea how to get leases in a more conventional housing environment. Requested jacking up prices for pet rent and other amenities despite that swaying our potentials away. Too much intervention from other properties' employees.
