Pros
Raconteur will - hands-down - be one of the best companies I would have worked for by the end of my career. At the heart of it is the MD, who constantly injects the company with his entrepreneurial spirit, alongside the best group of people to work with.
- Promotion based on performance (and the company really supports you and encourages personal development)
- People investment - when the company identifies a rising star they will go out of their way to even create roles for individuals to retain talent in the company, which is nigh unheard of
- Help is ALWAYS provided, one just has to ask the question
- Open, honest, transparent people
- An inclusive, familial environment and despite the heavy sales element to the role, everyone wants each team member to do great things without any hidden agenda
- Some of the brightest, kindest, most awesome and dedicated people to work with
- Pay and remuneration packages are amazing: ski trips, half day out go-karting trips, amazing Christmas parties. Hard work is ALWAYS recognised and ALWAYS rewarded
- Commission structure is one of the best in the industry and a high base salary, which is improbable to find elsewhere
- Great networking opportunities and opportunities to create build with leaders of some of the biggest blue-chip companies and organisations
- Being able to say that your name is in The Times and The Sunday Times newspapers
- Always something exciting bubbling around the corner: new products launching and the opportunity to define the path the company will take - they're always open for input
Cons
Not a con as such but this is the type of role that if you don't enjoy selling, creating bespoke content, cold calling, pitching great ideas to purchase decision markers of some of the biggest companies in the world? Then you probably won't have a great time working here. This is definitely a company built on passion and if the passion is not there for the job, for the people then it can be hard-going.
