Pros

Rehab1 offers a great network of internal staff and fellow therapists who are available to explain processes, collaborate about patients, and answer any questions that arise! As a part-time employee, the company offers excellent flexibility to support your unique schedule. Orientation processes are tailored to the individual's experience and time needed to acclimate to company systems. The company demonstrates great understanding regarding timelines for acquiring licensing as needed.

Cons

You may be the only therapist of your discipline on-site, so if you want to brainstorm with another professional from the same field you may need to set aside time to find another therapist to connect with from within the company.

Pros

I've worked for Rehab1 for about a year and a half, and coming from an outpatient and SNF background, it's the best of both worlds. You treat STRICKLY one patient at a time for 4 units each (no double booking, no groups), unless they are appropriate for less. Because they consider 4 units/hr to be 100% productive, if you see a patient for 53 mins, you have the other 7 mins to finish your note/find your next patient, so the productivity standard isn't hard to reach. You get paid your hourly wage to drive between buildings if it's needed. Therapists can be hired for assisted living communities and/or home visits, but mostly ALFs. I had some mental health concerns earlier in the year experiencing PTSD symptoms after losing so many patients to Covid at my last job. I emailed the owner letting him know that I felt it was hindering my performance... He drove to the area I was working in and we met at a coffee shop and sat together talking over coffee for over 2 hours. I can't imagine another owner as committed to his employees' health and job satisfaction, and he is 100% committed to his values of the company. The next time I spoke to the office manager, I was concerned I would get talked to about my symptoms effecting my work, and instead when I answered the call, she started crying thanking me for all I did working with Covid patients during the pandemic. Between that moment and the OWNER driving to me to talk... I can't imagine working anywhere else. I feel so genuinely appreciated here, and as though I am way more than just a therapist.

Cons

High deductible insurance, short unpaid maternity leave

Pros

- Great onboarding process - staff eased you into treating patients and got you acquainted with the system through thorough training - Friendly coworkers who are always willing to help - Good flexibility with schedule and pay for travel time between sites

Cons

- Difficult job for a newer graduate, as there is not much opportunity for onsite mentors - Need to travel far distances (~1 hour) to cover multiple sites within the county
