      The department is a mess

      Pros

      The pay is good and the work is easy.

      Cons

      The microbiology department is very chaotic and disorganized. No one knows what their job actually is or what they need to be doing. Not everyone in the department pulls their weight. Getting answers for questions from supervisors or management is like pulling teeth, and most times you won't get an answer. Also materials are not always available, materials won't be ordered in a timely fashion.

      Pros

      I've worked with Ritedose through two changes in ownership and leadership. Since our new CEO took office, I've already seen a lot of changes taking place. 2020 is bringing new employee engagement activities for health related events, opportunities for employees bond with one another, and get involved in giving back to the community. Jody Chastain is a huge supporter of community impact and making sure our employees are engaged. It will take time to turn our culture around, but I see a lot of promise and positive energy working towards a better tomorrow for our employees, their families, and the patients that we serve. * Generous PTO and paid holidays off * Great employee perks * Generous Bonus Plan * Friendly employees

      * Insurance premiums are a bit high * Culture tends to be more reactive than proactive, but I see that is already changing * Staffing up for projects is challenging

      There are no pros for working here.

      Cons

      Not enough people to get the job done. Upper management will agree to anything for a buck with no appreciation for the amount of work necessary to get the job done. Bonus system is a joke especially when you know upper management is getting 6 figure bonuses. This is a place where careers go to die.
