* The environment could be challenging for new starters if they are not 'self sufficient' to some degree
* follows the Netflix philosophy of little granularity of titles if you are an IC beyond 'senior'. This is fine by me, as it has no effect on compensation (senior here can match/beat principal or higher elsewhere) or your ability to influence.
However it may be important to some, so could be perceived as a con when in reality it makes zero difference.
* Works brilliantly for people who want autonomy over the way they work. If you strongly prefer lots of structure and process, ask salient questions during your interview to work out whether it's right for you.
