Pros
Pay is above market, 401(k) is good but could be better; Christmas Holiday time-off is a great perk; benefits are average but could be improved especially the employer HSA contribution for the high deductible medical plans for 2019!
Cons
The culture is evolving thus leaving a lot of room for improvement. Long-term employees are accustomed to doing it their way and not eager to embrace new ideas. No room for growth potential in current role with current manager. Employees should have the ability to make simple decisions concerning issues and not under the thumb of a micro-manager. RESPECT goes a long way! Managers need to know there are more ways of doing things other than their own. Free thinking is not allowed! When having your ideas immediately shot down and dismissed over and over pretty soon you stop speaking up. Is this the culture and environment SPX wants?!
