Pros

Competitive pay, great PTO policy, vacation bonuses, awesome teammates, gifting is fun!

Cons

I’m not sure where to start with this, but it suffices to say that when you look through the reviews, you will start to see the demise of Sendoso. I’ve never witnessed a company be so fiscally irresponsible in my life. In fact, I’m not even sure they have anyone at the top truly keeping a pulse on finances. Instead of saving their employees who were the heart and soul of the business, they decided to drop $40 million (almost HALF of Softbank’s total series C investment) on a fancy, new, COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY office building. Layoffs have occurred now for every quarter since July 2022 - I wouldn’t be surprised if more are to come at the end of Q1 2023. The people at the top of Sendoso lack transparency and honesty - seriously, the all hands are pointless BS pep rallies that hold zero weight now. The COO values the Gucci in her closet more than the people who once made Sendoso a great place. She should spend her money on a public speaking class instead. Since the layoffs, morale has greatly suffered and teams are now overworked - I’m sure people will begin leaving and pursuing other opportunities. The product and engineering teams are pretty much nonexistent. The list goes on and on. If you get an offer here, don’t sign it. It won’t last long and you’ll be back on the hunt once more.

Going out of business

Pros

Company was exciting 2 years ago when the product was new and got a boost from Covid. Culture is (was) pretty fun.

Cons

If you’re considering accepting an offer here, please know that the company is clearly going out of business and they are only hiring to somehow try to hit last minute goals for the board and delay the inevitable. They have done significant layoffs every quarter for 3 quarters in a row and there are less than 100 people left. LinkedIn headcount says 450 and its a lie because they handed out advisory roles to over 300 people for microequity ($500 or so). This company blew up and had a great run, but it’s a Covid product that didn’t deliver on it’s promises. They are off boarding business by the millions, not landing new business, and it’s bleeding to death. A lot of really great, smart, people took a chance on Sendoso just to get fired or laid off in 6 months or less. Ask yourself if you want to be one of them. P.S. - I had a decent experience there over the years. But I’m writing this because what I’ve seen them do to new hires for the last 3 quarters is absolutely disgraceful. Beware.

Pros

Unlimited PTO and hardest working IC's I've ever seen

Cons

Do you want to burn yourself out? Work at Sendoso. Do you want to feel under a microscope with no support? Work at Sendoso. Sendoso is a great idea run by horrible leaders. The only thing carrying it is the individual reps are some of the brightest people that work tirelessly to make deals close and customers happy. Leadership in turn will blame them for every shortcoming of the company. I worked through 3 rounds of layoffs in 1 year and the leadership told me multiple times that it's good people are fearful for their job. That they're looking to constantly replace people for better talent that is being laid off at other companies. While there is unlimited PTO, I had to work while my child was in the hospital because layoffs were happening that week and they needed all hands on deck. The CEO is more concerned with being liked than running a business, often undercutting deals to give it away for free because he "has a relationship over there". The COO is more concerned with ridiculing teams and individual performances than looking at how to improve the product. Aside from that I'm not sure who the other C-suites are because they rotated at least 3 times while I was there in 1 year. My favorite part was when they increased usage goals across the board but decreased budgets to use Sendoso platform internally. They expected customers to spend more on a product they weren't willing to use themselves. If Sendoso gives you an offer, turn it down if you're able.
