Pros

First and foremost, the people are fantastic, from the CEO on down. It is refreshing to be in a work environment with so many warm, inviting, team-oriented people who know so much about Salesforce, specifically Salesforce CPQ. To that point, you will not find a Salesforce partner with as much Salesforce CPQ expertise as Simplus. If you are interested in learning everything there is to know about Salesforce CPQ, Simplus is the place to be. At the rate that Simplus is growing, there is a lot of promotion potential as well. I have seen several promotions in the first month alone and expect to see more in the future. As a single person, the health insurance plan is pretty great. I don't pay a dime for health insurance, even for our best plan.

Cons

I'm nitpicking here, but our 401k plan is the only slight downside for me right now. Because our 401k plan is so new, the fees are a bit on the high side. But we get a good match, which is pretty nice. Over time, the fees will drop as contributions to the fund increase. In the long run, I'm not worried. Health insurance seems to be fairly pricey for families. That seems to be the nature of the beast these days.

Pros

-Remote work (many of us are 100% remote but with opps to gather in satellite offices or virtual offices) - Great communication and transparency (weekly org-wide company meetings and transparent with financials, potential acquisitions and future growth plans) - work/life balance (keeping in perspective it is still consulting so work/life balance is client/project dependent!) - good pay, flexibility in schedule, and growth opportunities - Unlimited PTO - GREAT people (execs , Sales, admin and tech folks) - (mostly) good clients

Cons

-Growing fast so acquisitions, constant changes and pressure to push work offshore can take a toll on employees (but that is typical of consulting, right?) - it's still consulting so many times its unavoidable to be at the mercy of some of the more "demanding "clients

Pros

Amazing management, Employee centric and really good work life balance.

Cons

No downsides yet. Only thing to consider might be the 401k plan. It can be improved

Pros

Progress. You can work with some smart and skilled people and progress in your skillset which will set you up well in the future pretty well. They do seem to care about giving back and helping less fortunate people, not just for show, but it actually seems like a genuine effort on their part. That part of the company is respectable.

Cons

- Stressful. Not a laid back environment whatsoever. Continually changing directions, and not in the exciting way of "fast paced", but in the way of firing entire teams of people and hiring new staff for different positions without properly vetting them because they don't have time. They have gone through a lot of employees over a short amount of time, that's why they have over 50 glassdoor reviews for a company with only 100 employees and has been in business for only a few years. - Underpaid. Working in development they do not pay well. Make sure to absolutely demand what you are worth before accepting an offer and never expect a raise. They went back and forth for months "making plans" on how I can get a simple raise after being there for a year. Finally after leaving Simplus I found a job paying twenty thousand more within a week, literally one week from leaving and I got that much of a bump to simply get my market value. This story is repeated multiple times through multiple employees. People leaving to get a 40% increased pay somewhere else right away. - Titles. In order to underpay their employees they give everyone a great title. It seems as though over half the current company are VP's, Managers, Executives, or Directors. They do this, I assume, because the feel they can pay you less if they slap a fancy title on you, employees will consider it a good investment. - Micro-managed. Scrum meetings every morning, Task management software tracking every minute you work on everything. Every second of your day tracked and monitored. If you go over on any project that's scoped by someone that has no idea what they are doing they act as if you are personally responsible for losing the company billable time. If you like having every single second of your day tracked, If you like spending a good portion of the day entering project details and times and lists into complex project management software, if you like having to deal with project managers and be micro managed non-stop every day multiple times a day, this is the place for you. - With these negatives listed, I will say that the company does seem to slowly be shifting in the right direction. I would say the outlook is good and some of these issues are due to them being relatively new and finding out what direction they really want to go. I think in fairness many of these issues will resolve over time.

Thank you for posting such a detailed review. I'm not sure if you have us mixed up with another company, as we do not have scrum meetings at all. Simplus provides services, not software. We are always looking for ways to improve so please reach out to me directly at anthonyc@simplus.com and I would be happy to chat with you if there is any confusion.

Pros

The people at Simplus are what make Simplus awesome. From the leadership that guides the organization to the consultants with boots on the ground, the people of Simplus exemplify the values of the company. There is a ton of collaboration and communication across all facets of the organization. At any given time, someone is saying "happy to help." This could be for a sales pursuit, a project in need, or for an individual who needs coaching and mentoring on a technical topic. The company also does a lot of great things to create a cohesive environment. There are lots of valuable company meetings, socials and hub activities, and virtual sessions on helpful life topics like financial planning or self-care. One of the best things about Simplus is company transparency. Knowing how we are doing as a business, what our focus areas are, and how we are doing against our goals is great! Good news or not...it's awesome to be trusted with this information. Simplus works hard to serve its customers as well as its employees and I appreciate that very much.

Cons

We are distributed which can sometimes feel disconnected, but that is addressed with many efforts from the leadership through planned activities, socials, and company meetings.

Pros

Unlimited PTO policy Open door policy

Cons

Though the health plans were opt notch, the benefit premiums for employees were the highest I had ever come across for a family. Misleading feedback - Don't be surprised if you are being told that you are doing great work, only to be dismissed the next day. Too much emphasis on billable hours and certifications. Of course you are a platinum partner...now. Any company would be if they hounded their employees about billable hours and obtaining certifications for partner points on a daily basis. Supervisor dodges you for your one-on-one meetings instead of providing constructive feedback to help further your career and growth within the company. If you value feedback like I do, avoid this company.

Pros

15 days of PTO if under 3 years of service Work Life balance is good if you are on a simplus project but not if you are on a infosys project.

Cons

Employees are currently being laid off with 2 weeks base pay and one additional week for each year of service. All of the good people from a 2 years ago are gone. Now is not the time to join Simplus No ways to move in the career ladder as the plan just seems to be to lay people off until we are all gone Have not gotten a raise in 2 years

Pros

People feel welcome and enabled at Simplus. Management listens and learns from input and communicates clearly with the entire company. The direction of the company is clearly defined and communicated to all. Career plans are developed for each person with clean paths and measurements.

Cons

Do your best and you'll be fine. Be open and work hard. Cons - it's not a place to float along in your career.
