Pros

Making the move to join the team at Smashburger was no doubt the best move I made both for my career and my personal development! The company is passionate about personal and professional development and have developed progressive tools and programs that keep me ahead of the game. My boss is a great mentor and is genuinely committed to my success.

Cons

The company (and let's face it, the industry) moves at a FAST pace, so you better be prepared to keep up - but there's a lot of good momentum and support to help you. Time management and prioritizing is key!

Pros

The pros about working at Smashburger, is that the company is growing so fast and rapidly, the sky is the limit. I am a extremely hard and dedicated worker, and that has been recognized and rewarded here. I have literally made my way up the ladder, starting as a cashier, then cook, shift leader, assistant manager, and now I am a general manager with this company. There are also a lot of other employees in my market that have been internally promoted with success.

Cons

One of the biggest cons, is the employee pool that this company attracts, although it is a "fast casual" concept, it is not the same as "fast food", therefore harder work is required, and a lot of employees do not grasp that. Another con is that this company is fairly new, so there are a lot of changes, and different tests for different markets, so there is always something we are trying to master, or sudden changes to previous things already learned.

Pros

Decent bonus program. Pay is competitive with similar concepts, but not for the amount of work

Cons

Horrible labor matrix. They just cut our labor hours more! Managers spend all there time in position; there is no time for any administrative duties. Upper management manages thru intimidation now. They have suspended matching funds to the 401 K. I think they are gutting the company to sell. They talk about great guest experience and serving quality products but it is just lip service. They have no concern about quality of life for any of there employees, only profit.
