Layoffs every 6 months in the US

Pros

Being a Ukrainian company - there's a heavy focus on hiring in LATAM to offset risk. The LATAM team members are great to work with. SoftServe University - opportunity to learn and upskill.

Cons

US benefits are paltry with parental leave at a minimum. No diversity at the executive level and no desire to add females to leadership. Layoffs happen every six months and there's no severance - people only get paid until the end of the month. HR says it's because they don't have to offer severance, yet the CEO preaches values and a "mindset of abundance".

Pros

They are paying money on time

Cons

Benefits are illusion, I never had change to use my training budget, because my requests were always rejected from any reason They proudly says that they are very open company and after equality, but I heard so may homophobic and racists jokes and nobody from management reacted on that. There was always pressure to proof the worker that he works not enough and he can't expect any payment raise, so what you negotiate on entrance is with what you will leave company

Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear that pay is on time. However, we’re sorry to hear about your experience with the training budget and the lack of support for your requests. We encourage employees to discuss their training requests with their direct managers, and we aim for these to be relevant to both the individual’s development and the team’s needs. We also acknowledge the importance of providing transparency around compensation, and we follow a compa-ratio system to ensure fairness and alignment with market standards. Regarding company culture, we are committed to diversity and inclusion, and our policies are anti-discriminatory. We actively promote our policies through various initiatives, and we’re deeply sorry that you witnessed inappropriate jokes or comments. This is something we take seriously, and we’ll continue working to ensure our workplace is welcoming and respectful for everyone. Thank you again for sharing your experience, as it helps us improve.
