Pros

Commission structure is solid, great earning potential for top billers

Cons

Coming into the company after the merger, we thought it’d be a great partnership, but it’s been pretty disappointing. The place feels like high school, with cliques everywhere and not much accountability. Sales is tough to reach, and rather than pushing for results, they seem to protect people who aren’t pulling their weight. Leadership tried to smooth things over, but the effort came across poorly—there was visible drinking and some unprofessional comments made during work events. Since day one, it’s felt like they didn’t really want our team here, and that attitude hasn’t shifted.

Thank you very much for your candor, and apologies for the delayed response. I'm glad to see your positive thoughts about the earning potential at Softworld, but I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment on other fronts. For what it's worth, I've been actively engaged in ongoing conversations, decisions, and actions over the past year, involving all levels of the organization and both legacy teams. Our shared goals have been about growing and succeeding together, as its the only way to build on our foundations. However, if the environment we've created isn't fostering that spirit for you, then we clearly have more work to do. Rather talk about the complexities of the past year, or listing specific business, cultural, and accountability efforts that are underway, I instead want to emphasize that your candor and good faith are appreciated. Our goal is to constantly increase satisfaction with the direction of the company, regardless of which team, group, or organization anyone came from. If there's anything you'd like to add, including any specific suggestions that would address some of your concerns, please feel free to reach out to me anytime at 781-373-8452. Thank you again for your thoughts.

Fortune Favors the Bold, Not the Meek

Pros

-Commission structure is very strong. -Management team is tenured, understands the industry and what it takes to be successful. -Financial backing from a multi-billion dollar organization. Let's be very transparent, this industry is not for the faint of heart. This is a high-risk, high-reward opportunity and unfortunately not everyone will experience the same level of success. This is the reality of any sales career that is actually worth striving to achieve (this includes recruiting, they are both a function of sales). If you are looking for a "sales job" that gives you standard business hours, logging off completely after the work day is over and just hitting your bare minimum metrics then this is not the right opportunity for you. The entire sales industry is extremely competitive, especially the vertical of IT consulting and staffing, so I'm confused as to why some comments refer to this job being too hard or not having enough of a work life balance. Plain and simple, you will get out of this role based on what you put into it. There are no handouts, this is an opportunity that you will need to earn. That being said, if you can commit yourself to the company and treat this like you are running your own business then you have a great chance at being successful here. Not everyone will make it to the top, so while I understand there can be negative reviews on Softworld, I also think those respective people did not belong at Softworld and Softworld was not the right company for them. Leave your entitlement at the door, don't blame management for personal failures and dedicate yourself to becoming the best version of you. This is the way. It's very rare to find an environment like this that offers the potential income to rival that of doctors and lawyers, with no Harvard degree required.... Lastly, pay no attention to people who post highly vitriolic comments without having the courage to put their name on it (counterintuitive comment on GlassDoor, I know) - these remarks are not a true representation of Softworld, nor our culture. Not everyone will have a glowing experience, but this is the nature of sales and is no different within competing firms. The larger your company grows, the higher the revenue, the greater the exposure - the bigger the bullseye will be on your back. This is a great company to work for if your desire is strong enough and your drive is greater than your peers. The management team has tremendous tenure within the organization and are meant to be tools for us to utilize for our success, not to use as scapegoats for our failures. From the sales to recruiting management teams, I truly believe they will unequivocally have your back if you "are doing the right things". In summary - great company to work for, expect to work hard if you want to be successful and don't expect any shortcuts.

Cons

-Remote work has put a damper on office dynamic, relationship building and accountability. -I really miss the morning breakfast buffets.

Thank you for your detailed thoughts, especially the transparency. Glad to hear of your positive experience; we also think its important to point out that you have the right to your opinion, others have the right to express theirs, and readers have the right to judge what's said in good faith (whether positive or negative) and what isn't. We fully agree with you that anonymous Internet posts should be considered accordingly, and would always encourage anyone evaluating Softworld to be aware of both their subjectivity, and the many other areas to judge our (or any other) company - tenure, track record, personal histories, websites/social media, your own experience, publicly available financials, etc. If you have anything else you'd like to share in any other format, I can always be reached at 781-373-8452. Thank you very much for your thoughtful feedback.

Pros

- Uncapped earning/commission potential - Endless roles/clients to work with - Ability to learn from some of the best recruiting minds in the industry on both the recruiting & sales side - Ability to work with one of the top Recruiting Directors in the industry. She knows exactly how to turn your weaknesses into strengths and gives you the right coaching to make money and succeed in this industry as she has already done it herself as a recruiter previously. She will fight for your opinions and candidates and go to bat for you. She will also find ways to utilize your talents in areas that you might not have explored yourself otherwise, which opens you up to more ways to make money. - Your opinions are heard and addressed - You will not be thrown into the fire - you will have a constant support system to answer questions and offer help/coaching. - The Softworld Accountability is something that will make you more money and better at your job. - If you're a SERIOUS recruiter who wants to work hard, make money, and have a fun work environment - this is the place to be.

Cons

- Commission structures can shift - Presidents Club goals not defined

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts - glad to hear that you've had such a positive experience, and thank you for all you've accomplished over these years. You're of course right that we've had some commission adjustments this past year, but they've hopefully been articulated as changes that better reflect the specific types of business to yield accelerated payouts. Our base commission plans, and the myriad opportunities for additional incentives over and above those levels, have remained consistent. I do absolutely agree regarding Presidents Club definitions; the business conditions of this past year have made all things President's Club too uncertain, for too long into 2024. Better/earlier clarity on Presidents Club qualifiers is definitely a goal for 2025! If you have anything additional that you'd like to share I can be reached anytime at 781-373-8452. Thanks again.
