Pros

Flexibility and autonomy are good. You are able responsible for your own scheduling

Cons

The company is chaotic and has changes constantly which makes it difficult to stay organized. They have been decreasing staff consistently. Management has said our jobs are secure and the company has money and then people get cut. The company has let people go due to reorganization and when doing this they have announced it to the entire team prior to letting actual employee know who was fired. People have got let go when they have been on PTO or leave and it was announced to the team before them. This area of healthcare is growing but they are proving to only care about the bottom line and overworking the healthcare employees. There is not clear way track how you're doing at your job and minimal feeback. They do not invest in their employees growth and education. There is no 401K match. It is very sad to see a healthcare company treat people this way but not surprising. I highly recommmend not work here. I have worked at many hospitals, clinics, and healthcare companies. The systems are definitely broken. But I have never worked for a place that has treated people this poorly.

Pros

Our mission and kidney patients deserve the best care possible.

Cons

Somatus has gone downhill. Value-based care companies for kidney patients have saturated the market (Strive, Interwell, Monogram, etc.). Somatus is no longer competitive due to poor management and business decisions, and a lack of focus and dedication to its employees. I've observed employees being treated poorly and disrespected. And this was before massive layoffs this year. Success requires innovation, patient loyalty, and a commitment to ethical care. Return on investment should be directly related to the patient. This in turn will improve the corporate bottom line. Somatus. Executive management has lost sight of their care teams and employees. Somatus needs to right the ship to be successful.
