      New management team has created a chaotic work environment and seemingly has no "plan"

      Pros

      The long time SonicWALL employees know and trust each other, and offer moral and work support to each other.

      Cons

      New management seems intent on ruining morale with their arrogance and hubris. They are overly aggressive and have not taken the time to learn the company and the business before rushing around making changes. In addition, for some strange reason the management structure has become very bloated. The small company feel of SonicWALL is no more. Political infighting is seemingly everywhere.

      Pros

      The work and technology is interesting and most of the people in the trenches are great to work with.

      Cons

      Ever since transitioning out of Dell, SonicWALL became a company with all the challenges of a start up without any of the benefits. Many of the changes were necessary to make the company successful again, but this came at the cost of a new senior management team that introduced a toxic culture driven by fear and intimidation. Aggressive goals were pushed at the expense of burnt out teams, and falling out of step from executive marching orders resulted in harsh reprimands. Constant layoffs only added to a sense of instability, and politics replaced trust and discouraged ownership.

      Pros

      Overall the benefits are good. Collaborative environment. Physical work environment is mostly clean and pleasant.

      Cons

      Work is extremely stressful due to lack of proper staffing. Company seems intent on doing more with less. Lab facilities are absolutely unacceptable. Management has a habit of "playing favorites." Newer employees are discouraged from personal growth within the company. Top level management has cultivated a culture of fear within the company.
