Pros

Remote work with flexible hours.

Cons

Upper management is spineless, plays favorites, and has no interest in developing subordinate employees. Middle management is two-faced and self centered and insulated from being held accountable as long as they are upper management’s favorites. This company will lay you off with absolutely no severance and on little to no notice. When I was laid off and my last day was less than 2 calendar weeks away, and upper management had no spine to tell me. After a meeting I had to corner the COO and ask him directly if I still had a job. Yet, when I had to lay off people I was encouraged to give them as much notice as possible. Side note: I’m very happy I was laid off. Credit will not be given where credit is due, unless you’re among upper management’s favorite employees. If you’re falling short in any areas, management won’t tell you and just give you a bad end of year review, no bonus, maybe a slight raise, and hope you figure it out for yourself. Also, upper management won’t give you your review unless you ask for it, despite having strict timelines on these things and expecting everyone else to abide by them. Compensation is fine (yes, fine) but again unless you’re a favorite don’t expect a significant bonus or raise, just keep taking on more work and dealing with it.

Pros

Remote work and flexible hours.

Cons

So many to list. They want you to think they motivate others to reach their potential and embrace success; they don’t it’s the opposite. Leadership is horrible. Leadership has no empathy and are dishonest. Leadership shows blatant favoritism; poor workers get away with doing little to no work and keep their jobs while others that do good work are laid off. The environment is toxic. If office supplies or something is needed for you to do your job, it comes out of your pocket; do not expect the company to pay for it. If there is an expense that will come from overhead, it won’t. Raises (if you want to call it raise) are not based on performance. HR is only out to protect the company, shows no regard for the employee. Benefits costs and deductibles are extraordinarily high; don’t expect to have your medical expense covered under the insurance plan, pretty much they will all be out of pocket. If you want to take a class that will benefit the company, you have to take PTO. You also have to take PTO if called for jury duty. Pay is below industry standards. Give a lot of thought before accepting a job here.
