      Pros

      Every employee is eligible for an annual bonus Their benefit/paid time off structure is unlike any other company I am aware of and very positive for the employee The company has a very generous profit sharing program, with funds deposited into the employee's 401K Company holds annual meetings with entire company and include spouses

      Cons

      Policies are often unclear, with confused understanding between corporate execs and HR Corporate executives are frequently NOT the best suited for their positions (out of the pool of employees), but are capable enough to fulfill the desires of the sole stockholder and have been able to keep the company functional and profitable.

      Great people and a company that deserves to succeed

      Pros

      Stellar is a company with great people and great benefits. They have a flexible PTO plan that lets you work more and earn more money or take more time off and earn a little less. I never once worried about taking time off if I felt like I really needed it. Their 401k is with Vanguard and they make large contributions which will have you set for life if you stay there for the long haul. I also really appreciate that, no matter how long you've been with the company, you get the full benefits package; you'll be treated like you've been there for years from day 1. Despite being a junior employee, I never once felt nervous about approaching senior management to chat or share my thoughts about the company. It's got that intimate start-up feel despite pushing 200 employees.

      Cons

      Stellar is currently experiencing some growing pains. One issue which still needs to be ironed out is retaining and developing junior engineers. They do their best, but sometimes the opportunity to land a dream job project just isn't there. I ended up leaving because I found a job that will set me up better for my long-term career goals. The other issue is that, since they typically act as subcontractors, the employees are pretty scattered across the country. It can be frustrating when somebody you'd like to learn from and work with is on the other side of the country.

      Small woman owned company that has excellent benefits. Government contracting at it's best.

      Cons

      Transitioning to a new contract within the company was difficult.
