Pros

The people culture at my branch is amazing, my manager and team are very supportive in the day to day at work. I love that the work-life balance compliments my life and I do not feel like work is my whole life. Great benefits

Cons

Having a clear path for advancement that align more closely with long-term career goals. Our current operational frameworks need modernization, there is a great opportunity to streamline our workflow using more current tools

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback. It’s great to hear how supported you feel at the branch level. That kind of culture is what we’re committed to protecting as we grow. We also hear you on advancement and modernization. Both are active focus areas across the company right now. From improving our operational systems to strengthening internal career paths, we’re working to ensure Sunstate is a place where people can thrive, grow, and build meaningful careers.

Pros

Used to be a great place! The original Watts era employees care deeply about the company still.

Cons

The new CEO has made three meaningful changes at Sunstate: a layoff in June '25, a layoff in April '26, removed a bunch of senior leaders. Nothing else that he has done has had any positive effect. He has one move, reduce headcount. This is not the mark of a good business leader, and is not someone qualified to be CEO of a billion dollar company. I think he himself is beginning to understand this, because nothing else that he has done has helped the company. Any talk of improved metrics (dwell days, repair time, etc) has had no effect on the metrics that actually matter. If and when company performance improves, it will be because market conditions have improved, not because our dear leader has done anything to help. This isn't people first.
