Pros

This was a clean facility and it was climate controlled.

Cons

The pay scale was all over the place. New hires were making more than the senior employees. Not all of the regulations were followed the way they were supposed to.

Awful company, Kaman leadership is terrible, private equity firm is useless

Pros

Company was recently sold to a private equity firm called P4G Capital Partners, and with that came new leadership. Most of the leaders worked together at Kaman and they have a “circle” of trust amongst themselves. They have pushed out all leaders who have. more experience with the organization and quite frankly are better at their jobs than the new crop is. They are only concerned with protecting their own and constantly show favoritism to less skilled and knowledgeable employees. They have little to no technical skills, especially as it relates to automation and like to craft the narrative of them “saving” the company when that couldn’t be further from the truth. There have been zero process changes since this new leadership group has started yet they want to take credit for the robust processes that were already in place. The CFO is the worst CFO I’ve ever seen and the most egregious offender of showing favoritism to woefully underperforming employees and the CEO is constantly misled by his direct reports due to his dependence on getting information from them.

Cons

This company is on its way out of business. The new group that has come in to lead it has set the wrong tone and completely ruined the corporate culture. They are obnoxious know-nothing know-it-alls. The CFO is so desperate to hit targets that he OKs the changing of revenue recognition policies and posts questionable JEs to adjust “accruals.” He offers little to absolutely no value as his primary concern is crafting a narrative to his bosses and he also turns a blind eye to poor performing controllers that have no business in the roles they currently occupy simply because he’s worked with them in the past.

Pros

Clean facility and a lot of overtime few talented individuals who are not being used to full potential. Lenient attendance policy. Minimum experience needed to get jobs.

Cons

Lack of training lack of opportunity to learn different positions management and engineering can be very disrespectful at times as well as other employees. A lot of Favoritism place is revolving door poor pay poor benefits low percentage raises. Engineering is quick to point the finger when issues arise and unwilling to help solve problems. Inspection of parts out of tolerance and or spec are still knowingly assembled and sold. Company does not follow company policy and or company procedures. A lot of issues swept under the rug here only to be stumbled upon later and still not corrected. The more involved you become within the company the more you realized how much of mess things actually are there. Always playing catch up waiting until end of the month. Lack of work. Poor scheduling and planning of production of parts. To many chiefs not enough Indians.
