You will never feel safe in Terraboost waters...

Pros

Work from home (if you are willing to take a big pay cut from what office workers get and still be held to the same poorly delineated standards)

Cons

You will never feel valued, never feel anything but judged on your worth as a cash cow. If you are an "appointment-setter" and are told that NO SELLING IS INVOLVED. Their ad is a mass of contradictions "You will NOT BE SELLING anything -- only setting appointments for our outside reps to drop by for a quick 5-15 min presentation to learn about the advertising opportunity. In other words, you will be selling a highly valuable and coveted product that is new, fresh, and will keep you invigorated because many customers are truly grateful agreeing to a face to face meeting in order to learn more. " They say NO SELLING and then in the same paragraph they say "You will be selling" Which is it? They give you a goal of setting 2 appts per work session, but even if you DO manage to blow through enough of their cheap, five year old leads and make the required number of appointments, you are STILL held accountable if those appointments don't turn into sales. This is despite the fact that your appointments meet all the "criteria" and that you have ZERO control over the outcome. It's a mishmosh of randomness combined with data-challenged auto-dialed leads and the results you achieve are indeed random. Mention this to them and they will say "Well other peoples' leads get sales." Perhaps, but one person can gamble all day in a casino and walk away with zilch while another puts in one quarter and wins a jackpot. In other words, you will be held accountable for the END RESULT (the sale) even though you aren't actually selling. They never said a word to me about having to have X number of sales until they let me go for "Not having any sales in six weeks." If you are good at all in telesales, you can and should do better.

Pros

Tremendous flexibility. Conceptually, playing a key role in the early develop of a successful startup.

Cons

The "Uber of Ad Sales". If you sell them some ads - they may or may not choose to pay you the commission that you agreed you should be compensated for. ZERO benefits. You would think that in a family-run company, that you would have more say around the decisions that get made - but you do not. Ultimately, you are simply uploading data into SFDC for them and enriching the executives and early investors. Once the deals get closed, etc.

Pros

It' a mistake even to consider working for Terraboost. I am going to encourage anyone to join it by listing any pros.

Cons

The top management is awful. They are terrible people who like to cheat customers, yell at employees, and never want to take accountability for their actions. I urge everyone reading this review to stay away from these fake people. They are not worth it. Please avoid it, or you will regret it! They won't even let you be at peace after you resign.
