Challenging environment with slow decision-making issues
Pros
I had the chance to work with many highly capable people across different functions. A lot of colleagues were strong in their own areas of expertise, which made the environment intellectually challenging in a good way. I often felt pushed to think more deeply, learn quickly, and look at problems from perspectives I may not have considered before. For someone who wants to grow fast and be exposed to high standards, the experience can be valuable.
Cons
In my experience, the team environment was not always as agile as I expected. Some decisions moved slowly, and there was often a tension between being asked to think innovatively by my manager and their actual appetite for risk. I always think innovation usually requires some room for experimentation, including the possibility of losses or failed attempts. At times, it felt difficult to achieve meaningful wins when the process did not allow enough space to test, learn, and adjust quickly.
