Unprofessional and Lack of Diversity

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

One of the main advantages is the lack of micromanagement. Employees are given a good amount of autonomy to manage their tasks and responsibilities, which can be a great environment for those who are self-driven and prefer to work independently.

Cons

The company operates in an unprofessional manner, with a lack of clear communication and accountability across the board. Unfortunately, diversity and inclusion are severely lacking, as there are very few minority employees, and the opportunities for advancement are nearly nonexistent particularly for those from underrepresented backgrounds.

Thank you for your review. We want to acknowledge your concerns regarding diversity within the company. To address the need for greater diversity and inclusion, we have recently established a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council. This council is dedicated to identifying and addressing issues related to diversity and inclusion and developing actionable solutions to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace for all employees. We take your advice seriously and are committed to enhancing our communication practices and providing more opportunities for professional development. In addition, this year we started to have a more formal approach to Talent Management and Development of our employees. If you would like to tell us more about your concerns, please reach out to HR@Turtle.com or contact one of our HR Team members for a confidential conversation.

Really making strides!

Business Outlook

Pros

Although it has grown to almost 900 employees, there is a sincere effort to keep it run like the family business it is. The new CEO is as genuine as can be hoped for. Engaged and caring. Also, love that it is a woman-owed an operated company.

Cons

The company is making a myriad of investments and initiatives to be relevant and successful as it moves into the next 100 years (turned 100 in 2023). These include major shifts in technology, energy solutions, sustainability initiatives, diversity, and more. Great time to be a part of the team. Feels like an exciting future ahead.
