Pros

Flexible Hours (Make Your Own Schedule), Decent Hourly Rates, Comfortable Interface

Cons

Minimum Guaranteed Hours and availability of Night Hours have consistently declined over the years. My hourly rate has gone up but the amount I earn each week now at the Master Level is close to 1/3 what I used to earn when I first started working here due to hour cuts. Students seem less motivated lately, particularly in the wake of AI, often having an attitude of "do it for me" rather than wanting to learn which can be frustrating to deal with.

Pros

The students are generally good to work with, and if you’re inclined toward education, the really great ones will help you feel fulfilled in what you’re doing.

Cons

There are a lot of issues with the Async format and the expectations placed on tutors with time limits (extremely specific and detailed answers on the feedback sheet, vague advice left on documents, and so on) are really tough to adhere to. The pay is also extremely lacking, especially if you’re floating and therefore not getting paid at all when you don’t have students despite putting time in.
