      This career is very rewarding, but it is also very very demanding.

      Pros

      The benefits are good. Free health care for you and your family. The retirement program, and savings programs are excellent. The Army community allows people from all walks of life to have even footing. It doesn't matter where you came from, or what you did before. All are equal.

      Cons

      You will be away from home a lot. Even when you are at your home work area, you will have to be at work away from your family a lot. This job will have you doing things that can really change you, for better or worse. Some moments will show you what you are capable of, and you will be stronger for it. Others may shake you to your core in a way that will be very difficult to recover from.

      Will meet some amazing people

      Cons

      Horrible workplace, terrible treatment of employees, lack of common sense from the highest echelons of leadership, I could go on for paragraphs. Ultimately unless there's a specified job only the Army can offer you, do not work here. This toxic environment is even leaking into special operations. Be wary of working here.

      An Excellent Organization Gone to Hell

      Once a fabulous organization to work. Few Pros remain.

      Cons

      Severe IMCOM budget cuts has destroyed morale and "doing more with less" has further diminished workforce. Most employees with an IQ have left and only those close to retirement or inept remain. Rampant taxpayer fraud, waste and abuse further diminishes budget relief.
