Pros

The company offers steady work and consistent hours, along with valuable opportunities to gain hands on experience in trench safety and daily operations. There is a supportive direct manager who genuinely encourages employee growth, and the team oriented environment is strengthened by coworkers who collaborate well and support one another.

Cons

There is a lack of transparency in hiring and promotion decisions, making it difficult for employees to understand how advancement opportunities are determined. Despite strong performance and experience, upward mobility feels limited, and there is a perception of favoritism influencing management decisions. Recent leadership changes have further impacted morale, leaving many employees feeling discouraged. As a result, those who consistently go above and beyond may feel undervalued or taken advantage of.

Pros

Even though United Rentals is the largest rental of heavy equipment in the world; they still care and appreciate their employees. Very inclusive to all employees no matter what gender, race, nationality etc. they pay you for a Wellness day because they want you to take a day off! They genuinely care about you & your family outside of work. Just overall amazing company!

Cons

So much to learn regarding the very different details of all the different aspects of various equipment. Can be overwhelming. But time will be your best friend.

Pros

Great pay, benefits. Some great employees.

Cons

encountered a work environment that was highly challenging. There were instances of favoritism, inconsistent management practices, and limited empathy from leadership. The culture lacked accountability, and employees were often expected to work long hours without proper compensation or recognition.
