Pros

The culture at Upswing beats anything else I've experienced in my professional career. There is a strong sense of community, supporting each other and reaching across teams to ensure everyone is enabled to do their best work. I have worked remotely my whole career and, being a fully remote company, Upswing definitely knows how to provide the ideal "virtual office experience." Engineering team is very dedicated to improving the code base and enhancing the user experience. Recently, there has been a renewed focus on infrastructure/application improvements to enhance development, deployment and security processes. Management is always looking to improve professional development processes and help you achieve your career goals. C-Suite is very transparent regarding the company's financial outlook and overall direction.

Cons

The startup world provides many challenges that affect the whole company (funding, meeting revenue goals, employee retention). There is always some risk when joining a small/startup company that is still proving it can survive in the industry long-term. Being a small company, advancement can be harder with fewer opportunities for promotion. However, Upswing has been making improvements in this area recently.
