Pros

There are no good reasons to work at Urban Science. Beware...they are now suing former employees who have taken any jobs they deem too closely related that violate the non-compete agreement. Basically if you know too much or you make them angry they are going to sue you so beware and think about your long term future before you take a job here.

Cons

Suing former employees over non-competes because they can't realistically compete in the environment in which they claim to be the best in.

Pros

People. Downtown. In the RenCen.

Cons

Urban Science said they will sue me if I leave the company. I just received a better paying job offer, but had to decline because I am afraid I will be sued. They have also stated we must tell them where we will be working if we put in our two-weeks. Don't I have the right to not tell you anything? We also hire people that could be violating a PINC agreement.

Pros

I used to believe at the very least this was a decent place for an average performer to come in and develop a skill set. However, recent events have changed that. Urban Science has started to sue low level employees that leave the company to whoever they deem a competitor, this includes people they let go themselves. What was left of moral at this company had completely vanished in the last week.

Cons

Too many to list. Urban Science essentially pays employees to give good employee feedback surveys, which I scratch my head at what benefit that does besides let leadership tell the owner everyone is happy. The company is 100% focused on current year profitability and bottom line, which begs that leadership is either incompetent, maximizing net income for higher valuation when the company is sold in the coming years, or both.
