Pros
There are NONE! I wasn't going to post until I saw the other review. I could have written that - 20 years ago so NOTHING has changed. As my first professional job out of college - I rued the day that I majored in construction!
Cons
They will work you to death. And intentionally get you as far away from home as possible, living in some weekly efficiency because then you won't have anything better to do than work. I remember the "yearly motto" one year that HAD to be the screen saver on a computers - "Don't Let Your Guard Down." Well, when you are shafting every subcontractor yeah, you need that attitude. They will lie, lie, lie too. You can't live on the salary anywhere and the per diem will only get you slum level accommodations. When you are paying for a home and subsidizing out of town living quarters you are paying to work. Don't get me started on the Demi God superintendents - bunch of uneducated good ole boys on a power trip. Yes, avoid at all costs. I doubt they'll last much longer though fortunately.
