Absolutely no loyalty

Pros

There is nothing nice to say about this company.

Cons

No loyalty to long-term employees. They came in and purchased small businesses and daily let employees go. If they couldn't let them go they would push the employee out by making their expectations unattainable.

Turbulence at VitalCaring Group

Pros

Vital Caring Group initially showed great promise under the leadership of April Anthony. The company seemed poised for growth in the home health sector.

Cons

Recently, the company hired Alice Townsend as the Sales Growth Officer, who has made significant changes within her short tenure. Despite not having worked in home health for the past five years, Alice implemented drastic measures immediately. This included placing sales reps who were bringing in less than 10 episodic admissions per month on performance plans, with termination looming if they didn't achieve over 15 episodic admissions with a strenuous 90 days from your first day of employment, regardless of the territory challenges. Additionally, Alice prioritize hiring or promoting employees from Enhabit/Encompass, which may limit opportunities for those looking to grow as leaders outside of these backgrounds. Moreover, Alice Townsend continues to implement changes without a clear understanding of how they will impact the market. If your region is not excelling as a manager or sales rep, you may face quick termination, despite VitalCaring Group being new to the market and lacking brand recognition. Caution: If you seek stability and a positive work environment, caution is advised with Alice Townsend at the helm as the Sales Growth Officer. She appears focused on her own agenda, willing to undermine others to avoid personal embarrassment. Her frequent reminders of past achievements and personal accomplishments can overshadow team cohesion and company goals. Conversations often circle back to her previous CEO title and her new title as SGO, weight loss journey of 80lbs, and personal background of being the only child that doesn’t play well with others, which may detract from team morale and unity.
