Pros

I don't usually write reviews but felt like I should for this one. During the pandemic I was working from home with a small kid and fully expected the usual corporate "figure it out" response. Instead leadership made it clear family comes first. They adjusted schedules for parents without making anyone feel guilty about it. Kids showing up on zoom calls was normal. That kind of thing sticks with you. Beyond the pandemic stuff - the FXLearns program helped me get certs, the random surprises like food truck wednesdays keep things fun, and my coworkers are genuinely good people.

Cons

There is turnover especially with people in their first year. I think the pace and expectations catch some people off guard. It's not a coast-and-collect-a-paycheck type of place. You need to be self driven.

Pros

Flexible start time, prior experience not needed

Cons

Where do I start? I really want this to reach current college students because if I could go back in time, I wouldn't work here. WebFX will entice you with their flashy office space and over the top parties and you'll think, this is going to be fun. Nothing here is surface level. If you can't make it to an after work event or you simply just don't want to go because you have a life outside of work, it will most certainly be noted by management. For a company that preaches work life balance, it really doesn't exist here if you want to progress in your career. Management will pry into your personal life. You might think they're just interested in your as a person, but it's tactical. There is an unspoken expectation that you will work far beyond 40 hours a week and overtime will not be compensated. In the beginning, maybe it won't bother you. Afterall, it's a lot like doing homework after class. That's exactly why they prey on college seniors. That, and of course because they can pay you a lot less. Take notice how a 5-star review from a *current* employee pops up after every 1-star review on this platform. WebFX cares a lot about their reputation and will manipulate current employees to sing their praises. That is also how they "win" Best Places to Work in PA every year. It's a bogus contest that companies have to pay to enter into (we're talking $1000+). So yeah, it's not inclusive of all companies in PA. The contest involves sending out a mass employee happiness survey to employees and management will give you "friendly reminders" to fill out the survey with a toxic positivity undertone. Talk about paying for good press. Big brother is always watching you. WebFX doesn't trust employees, despite preaching autonomy. You are forced to download software that tracks EVERY click and mouse movement throughout your 8-hour+ day, in addition to taking screenshots every few minutes. Then at the end of the day you will be given a productivity score. If your score isn't high enough, you will most certainly be reprimanded. What an obnoxious way to let employees know you have zero trust in them to do their jobs. Oh, and if you are working from home (this takes a minimum of 2 years and you'll still be tracked) you're 'encouraged' to pause your timer for bathroom breaks. That's right, you need to make those 5 minutes up. Toxic positivity runs DEEP here. Any kind of tragedy in your life comes second to WebFX. You are just a number here. I have cried in the bathroom. That is how bad it is. Save yourself a lot of unnecessary anxiety and start your career with a company that will actually value you.

Pros

-free coffee/food -nice people -flexible start time (8-10 am)

Cons

-low pay -cult-like positivity -micro-managing -expect you to pick up on difficult concepts quickly, with barely any help or resources -was told to figure things out on my own before reaching out to my "coach" (manager) after very little in person training. Then was looked down upon when it took me longer than the suggested time to compete a task -passive aggressive -would host fun 15 minute events, but they expected you to stop your timer (that had to be running for your 8 hours of work). This then required you to stay the extra 15-20 minutes. They also direct message you and tell you to come to these events and if you don't you will be excluded -hybrid work options don't unlock until your second year (remote options listed in job description) and wasn't told until my first day -if you are a strategist, don't expect to have conversations with your coworkers during work. The floors for strategists are dead silent, and when I did make friends and had 5 minute conversations with them during the work day my manager said I was "distracting" my coworkers -had ~50 hours of at-home work in order to be considered for a promotion -They highly encourage you to post the perks on your social media (they also ask for every one of your social media accounts and then follow your accounts including Instagram, Twitter and TikTok) -overall just a very fake environment. It is advertised like they have fun (you can), however socializing and forming real relationships with your coworkers is seen as unproductive.
