Pros

1. My coworkers and the front desk admin were absolutely fantastic, got me through the day. People on your same level are very supportive of you and clearly want your success. You feel as if you are part of a team! 2. There is an opportunity for good commission on top of your base salary if you hustle. This was very encouraging and pushed me forward! 3. Many of the associates I placed on assignment were very pleasant to work with and I formed great relationships with them. 4. Ditto to above, but with clients. 5. CEO of the company is absolutely lovely. Fantastic individual and I wish he had a heavier hand in management decisions.

Cons

1. Manage is unapproachable, extremely two-faced, and tyrannical. If you are passionate about being micro-managed to an extent you never thought humanly possible, Westaff is definitely the place for you! As someone who typically can judge character very well, the management is so extremely two-faced I can't keep track of if they genuinely like or care about anyone depending on the day of the week. 2. Understaffed with crushing expectations. Constant and overwhelming pressure like you will never know in your life, actually led to me starting to experience severe anxiety symptoms on a daily basis. 3. Management will insult your intelligence and act like they know everything about you when they know little or nothing. I was told I need to work on my organization and time management skills and they were not up to par, when in reality anyone who knows me on a social or familial basis would laugh at this suggestion, those are my greatest strengths which I have demonstrated mastery of time and time again in other positions. 4. Constantly working off hours or on weekends. 5. As a recruiter, why am I dealing with worker's comp issues on my own??? 6. Did I mention the atrocious management? Yawn.

Pros

When I first got hired, the found me a job right away.

Cons

After my initial job was over, they never bothered to help me find another temp job. They were advertising available temp jobs that I more than qualified for, but never called to offer them to me. When I called to inquire about them, they were all mysteriously "unavailable" even though they had only been posted minutes before.

Pros

Got a job quickly. Got paid weekly.

Cons

The job description I was given given didn’t match up with the actual position. The company I was hired to work for told me they needed to have all their 2020 paperwork boxed up and filed. After that project was completed, they didn’t have much for me to do. It was a more like a 20 hour a week job - not a 40 like the agency said. When I spoke with the manager about not having enough work to do, she said I could lessen the hours or get another position with the agency. The manager at this company was sometimes difficult people to deal with. The recruiter from Westaff said it was temp to hire position. The manager at the company acted like she couldn’t care less. She said temps were expendable. When I decided to quit the job after all the nonsense and ridiculous unchallenging work I was given, the recruiter was mad because I didn’t give notice. Hold on - I had to care about myself. If the shoe was on the other foot and the company wanted to get rid of me, the recruiter wouldn’t have given ME any notice. She would’ve been “see ya. Today’s your last day. Don’t come back tomorrow” with no notice at all. It’s a double standard. I had to make the decision to do what’s best for my own life. Why would I give notice to a horrible place and come back for more? Get real! It’s BS. Never again.
