Pros

You make meaningful connections with the students/members

Cons

Owner's of franchises know nothing about yoga or the yoga industry, wellness advisors are not required to have a yoga background, teachers are not required to be 200 Hour Certified, unlivable wages, pay is often incorrect so you have to double check your hours/paystubs, inability to work full time, no benefits, heavy emphasis on selling yoga memberships rather delivering quality yoga, toxic environment, corporate has no phone number you can call, they have an email but they won't respond to you

Pros

Nice location near the ocean

Cons

Beth, the owner, makes the company culture horrible. She does not know anything about yoga or yoga culture and created a lot of drama amongst her employees and other YogaSix locations not allowing everyone to work as a community. She also charges ClassPass members additional money to take class at her locations in Dana Point and Ladera Ranch. She does not listen to feedback and provides a toxic work environment and treats her employees like crap. There has been a turn over of instructors and employees at her locations since they have opened and runs her businesses like a dictator. She does not provide diversity, is not accommodating, and treats her employees badly. Other YogaSix locations in Orange County are great to work for, but unfortunately the Dana Point and Ladera Ranch locations are filled with drama and the owner and management operates under shady business practices and violating labor laws. If you are looking to teach for YogaSix, stay away from these two locations and work at another location or another company. Only one studio and no showers or locker rooms. No feedback given to instructors and owner makes assumptions and does not have a relationship healthy relationship with employees.
