Pros

Great systems and training. Not too much micro managing Great benefits. good work life balance.

Cons

Hopefully after the recent president/CMO left/ got fired there is less fear, sexual harassment and mind games. However he left behind his sister-wives whom are still at the company. Great for starting your career but be aware of people who get promoted for 'other activities' and not off their work.

Pros

Employees are hard working and loyal. The energy you create as a store manager is the energy your building runs on.

Cons

Horrible pay for associates and floor supervisors considering workload. Hours are minimum and you often find yourself scrambling for coverage. As a store manager expect to put in long hours especially if you run a lower volume store. The regional managers are the worst I've ever encountered in retail. The DM was absolutely clueless as to what she was doing and sent endless e-mails throughout the day.

Pros

You get to work with good people. As in any box store there is drama, but they are good people none the less.

Cons

Corporate Leadership is a joke. DM has been employed by the company around 2 years but has actually been "out of the business" for 75% of that time. I believe the Zone Admin who hired the DM is under scrutiny so the DM has something to prove, using their Store Managers as scapegoats. My "Scorecard" had one red strike and 14 green...but they hounded me on the one red one that couldn't be fixed because of a store specific "broken" process...No help from Corp, or my TRIAD partners. My ALPM's were great, just the constant DM leadership and guidance fell away with the DM being "out of the business" and our store being "supplemented" by visiting DM's to fill a vacant or missing spot..
