      At our nation’s 328 ports of entry, CBP Officers ensure the safety of travelers by protecting America from threats like terrorism, illegal substances, and dangerous cargo. With innovative technology and elite detection training, CBP Officers identify security threats before they become a problem, and Agriculture Specialists intercept dangerous pests that threaten the health and safety of U.S. agriculture.

      CBP Officers have UP TO $60,000 IN INCENTIVES available, paid $15,000 per year. Location based.

      Applying to Become a CBP Officer

      To join our team as a CBP Officer, you must submit an application, take an online assessment, and pass an in-person exam. From application to hire, the process may take up to 12 months — veterans may qualify for expedited opportunities.

      Pay and Benefits

      We offer competitive benefits, including premium health insurance, paid training opportunities, and overtime pay. Additionally, CBP Officers can earn a starting salary of up to $79,000.
